A Ma Maniére has never been a brand that does things by halves. Their collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand have consistently carried weight beyond the product, and their latest effort is no different. Dubbed "Timing Is Everything," the campaign behind the A Ma Maniére x Nike Pegasus Premium is a meditation on Black love, movement, wellness and the quiet power of showing up when it matters.
Two Colourways, One Story
The Pegasus Premium arrives in two distinct colourways, each carrying its own emotional register. The "Black and Burgundy Crush" pair speaks to depth, strength and grounding, deep burgundy accents cutting through a predominantly black upper with just enough richness to feel considered without being loud. The "Summit White and Metallic Silver" goes the other way entirely, soft and luminous, a shoe that catches light and gives it back.
Together they tell a story about balance. About moving forward and standing still. The kind of storytelling A Ma Maniére has built its reputation on, where the shoe is a vessel rather than the destination.
Built to Run, Designed to Mean Something
Under the narrative layer, this is a serious running shoe. The Pegasus Premium packs a triple stack of Nike's most advanced cushioning: ZoomX foam for energy return, a sculpted Air Zoom unit for responsive bounce, and ReactX foam underneath for durable support. The engineered mesh upper keeps weight down and breathability up, making this a shoe that can genuinely handle the miles, not just the mirror selfies.
At $210 USD per pair, it sits at the premium end of Nike's running catalogue. But the pricing feels deliberate. A Ma Maniére has always positioned its product at the intersection of performance and culture, and the price point reflects that this is not a mass-market play. It is a release for people who understand what it represents.
Houston, We Have a Movement
The campaign launched at Texas Southern University, one of America's most storied HBCUs, with an invite-only activation built around a two-mile run through the campus. It is a fitting setting. TSU's cultural significance in Houston and beyond mirrors what A Ma Maniére has been doing in streetwear for years, taking spaces that were never designed for them and making them unmistakably their own.
EQL raffles are open now across A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB and JAIDE, closing on 2 June at 3pm EST. The general release follows on 5 June at 11am EST online and midday local time in-store at all A Ma Maniére locations. If the brand's track record is anything to go by, these will not linger.
