Aman, the hospitality group that has built its name on properties where stillness is the primary luxury, is moving into open water. Amangati, the first vessel from its Aman at Sea division, will make its Caribbean debut in late 2027 following an inaugural Mediterranean season. The details, now confirmed, read less like a cruise itinerary and more like a masterclass in how to rethink small-ship luxury.
The yacht carries just 94 guests across 47 suites. That ratio, roughly two guests per crew member, is the kind of mathematics that Aman has always traded on: space, discretion and the sense that the property exists for you alone. Amangati's design, by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, leans into that philosophy. Ceilings reach 2.5 metres. Full-height windows erase the boundary between interior and sea. Every suite has a private terrace. This is not a ship that asks you to forget you are on one. It is a ship that asks you to remember where you are.
The Caribbean programme runs from 21 November 2027 through 2 January 2028, with five- to eight-night itineraries across three regions. The opening series explores the Leeward Islands: St Barths, St Kitts and Nevis, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Saba, Montserrat and a Marina Day in Barbuda with a beach call at Prickly Pear Cay off Anguilla. Subsequent voyages cover the Windward Islands between Antigua and Barbados, including stops at Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia and the Grenadines. The season concludes in the southern Caribbean, sailing between Barbados and Aruba via Bonaire and Curacao. A 13-night transatlantic crossing from Malaga to Antigua, with stops at Cadiz and the Azores, repositions the yacht from the Mediterranean.
Pricing starts above $32,000 per suite, which places Amangati firmly in the uppermost tier of cruise pricing, above the likes of Regent and Silversea, and in the company of Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Four Seasons at Sea. But Aman's pitch has never been about value. It has been about the conviction that the right address, on land or at sea, is worth whatever it costs. The Caribbean itineraries are available to book now, and given the 94-guest capacity, they will fill quickly. For those who have been waiting for Aman to set sail, the wait is almost over.
