Marvel Studios has finally pulled back the curtain on Avengers: Doomsday. The first full-length trailer premiered exclusively at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, and the footage delivers on every front: Robert Downey Jr as Victor von Doom, the X-Men crossing over with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and a cameo that left the Colosseum crowd at Caesars Palace in outright disbelief.
According to reports from Variety and IGN, the trailer opens at the Xavier Institute. Patrick Stewart's Professor X witnesses a flash of light outside the mansion, and Downey's Doom descends in full imperial regalia, green hood and metallic mask, speaking in a thick accent that renders the actor almost unrecognisable. This is not Tony Stark with a goatee. This is Latverian royalty, and he is here to conquer.
What follows is a collision of franchises on a scale the MCU has never attempted. Channing Tatum's Gambit squares off against Simu Liu's Shang-Chi inside the X-Mansion. Rebecca Romijn's Mystique transforms into Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova for a fight that blurs every line of trust. Letitia Wright's Shuri meets Tenoch Huerta's Namor. James Marsden's Cyclops walks into frame in a comics-accurate suit. The Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts and the Wakandans all take sides.
