Future season has returned. The Atlanta rap heavyweight announced on June 25 that his tenth solo studio album, The Real Me, will arrive on July 10, and he did not hold back on the ambition. Album of the century, he declared on X, setting expectations somewhere in the stratosphere.
The rollout began with a Spotify billboard campaign that had the internet guessing for a week. Cryptic T.R.M. signs appeared across American cities, prompting theories ranging from a Selena Gomez project to a Playboi Carti drop. The real answer turned out to be the most Future thing possible: the man himself, readying his first solo statement since 2024's Mixtape Pluto.
The lead single, Radio, dropped on June 26 alongside a music video directed by Dulsco. Over production from Taurus and Wheezy, Future leans into a reflective register: the chorus insists this not for the radio, while the verses survey the toll and triumph of life at the top. The video, shot across neon-lit night scenes and stripped-down interiors, mirrors the track's tension between public persona and private reckoning.
The Real Me will reportedly span 22 tracks, according to Apple Music's pre-save listing, making it one of the most expansive solo projects in Future's catalogue. It follows two collaborative albums with Metro Boomin in 2024, both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and a high-profile reunion with Drake on Iceman standout Ran to Atlanta, which peaked at number two on the Hot 100.
There is also the matter of Young Scooter. The album marks Future's first full-length release since the death of his longtime friend and collaborator in 2025, a loss that has shadowed the lead-up to The Real Me. Whether that grief informs the record's deeper register remains to be heard, but the title alone suggests an artist pulling back the curtain on a persona that has defined trap music for over a decade.
Future performed alongside Tyla at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this month, and contributed to DJ Khaled's upcoming Aalam of God album. The Real Me drops July 10 via Freebandz and Epic Records.
