The Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa, which welcomed its first guests in July 2026, fills that gap with purpose.
Positioned between the Nea Chora beachfront and the entrance to the old town, a five-minute walk in either direction, the 85-room property makes its presence felt without overwhelming the neighbourhood. The building is contemporary in form but draws on local Cretan materials and a light, neutral palette that references the stone architecture and sea views beyond its walls. Floor-to-ceiling glazing ensures the Aegean is never far from sight, whether from the lobby or from the private balcony attached to every room.
That private balcony comes with a heated pool in every room category, a detail that immediately sets the Hilton Chania apart from the boutique guesthouses that have traditionally defined the city’s accommodation. Higher-tier suites add in-room saunas and sweeping sea views. The King Grand Deluxe category, in particular, offers direct sea views and private pools positioned to capture the sunset over the Cretan coast.
Dining is where the resort flexes hardest. Céleste, the rooftop restaurant and bar, sits beside a heated infinity pool with panoramic views across the Aegean, offering a menu of curated dishes and bar bites from morning to late. Poème de la Canée operates across two levels as the main all-day restaurant, combining Mediterranean flavours with live music and signature cocktails. Fauchon Café Pâtisserie marks the French luxury brand’s first arrival in Greece, serving refined pastries, gourmet sandwiches and its celebrated five o’clock tea. The C Bar rounds out the offering with aged spirits and premium cigars from Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Wellness is anchored by the L’Occitane en Provence Spa, featuring four treatment rooms, a hammam, saunas and steam baths. Little Galaxy, an open-air rooftop botanical garden, hosts intimate events and group wellness sessions for up to 120 guests. Together, they position the property as a year-round destination rather than a summer-only proposition, a distinction that reflects broader ambitions for Chania’s future on the international circuit.
