Omega has marked Global James Bond Day with its most ambitious 007 collection yet, a six-piece Seamaster Diver 300M line that, for the first time in the brand's 30-year partnership with the franchise, gives equal billing to both sides of the story. The Bond and Spectre Collection, launched on October 5th, pits the secret agent against his most enduring nemesis in a horological face-off that asks collectors to pick their allegiance.

The Bond Edition

The James Bond edition (ref. 210.30.42.20.03.004) keeps things familiar with a blue aluminium dial laser-engraved with the iconic wave pattern that has defined the Seamaster since the 1990s. A grade 5 titanium bezel ring features a laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief, creating a matte, technical look that reads as instrument rather than jewellery. The coat of arms sits at 12 o'clock, a subtle marker that rewards those who know what they are looking at. Rhodium-plated hour markers and openworked hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova, with blue emission across the dial and green on the minute hand for underwater legibility.

Spectre Enters the Frame

For the first time in Omega's long Bond partnership, Spectre gets its own watch. The Spectre edition (ref. 210.30.42.20.01.023) takes the opposite visual path, with a black ceramic bezel ring and a blackened, grained dial that feels deliberately understated. Where the Bond model shines in blue, the Spectre absorbs light. Turn the watch over and the caseback reveals an oscillating weight shaped as the organisation's octopus logo, blackened and brooding against the movement beneath. The duality is clever. Same case, same calibre, same bracelet, completely different attitude.

One Calibre, Two Philosophies

Both steel editions run on the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, certified by both COSC and METAS, with resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and a 55-hour power reserve. The no-date configuration keeps the dial clean, faithful to the original Seamaster Professional 300M that debuted in 1993 and first appeared on Pierce Brosnan's wrist in GoldenEye the following year. The brushed steel mesh bracelet, introduced on the No Time to Die edition and carried through the 60 Years of James Bond model, returns here as standard. Water resistance holds at 300 metres, with a conical helium escape valve at 10 o'clock and a screw-down crown completing the diving credentials.

The Limited Edition Sets

Beyond the two steel models, Omega has created two limited edition sets of 77, each combining a stainless-steel watch with a platinum-gold model. The precious metal pieces feature solid gold guilloche dials, platinum diving scales, and rotors with emblems executed in 18K Moonshine Gold. The James Bond set uses a blue PVD gradient with a gun-barrel pattern, while the Spectre set goes dark grey with an octopus motif. Each set arrives in a single presentation box with a NATO strap, cufflinks, a loupe, a leather travel pouch and a certificate of authenticity.

At $8,600 for the steel editions, the entry point is remarkably accessible for a watch carrying this much cultural weight. Neither steel model is limited, which is a deliberate choice from a brand that knows demand will do the work. The collection arrives as Casino Royale celebrates its 20th anniversary and anticipation builds for the next Bond film. Whether you align with duty and discipline or independence and self-interest, Omega has made sure there is a Seamaster for your side of the story.
