Palace and Carhartt WIP occupy very different corners of the streetwear map. Palace is loud, irreverent, and rooted in south London skate culture. Carhartt WIP takes American workwear heritage and filters it through a European minimalist lens. On paper, it should not work. In practice, it works brilliantly.

The capsule collection, announced via a typically chaotic Palace Instagram post on Monday morning, features 24 pieces spanning outerwear, knitwear, trousers, and accessories. The standout is a double-knee Detroit jacket in Palace signature tri-ferg pattern, printed over Carhartt rugged Hamilton Brown canvas. It is exactly as unhinged as it sounds.

Other highlights include a reworked Active Jacket in acid-wash denim, cargo pants with co-branded pocket flashers, and a series of beanies that merge the Carhartt watch hat shape with Palace bold graphics. There is also a set of tools, including a branded hammer and tape measure, because Palace has never met a joke it did not want to commit to fully.

Pricing ranges from 38 pounds for beanies to 348 pounds for the Detroit jacket. The collection drops simultaneously on palaceskateboards.com, carhartt-wip.com, and at Dover Street Market locations in London, Tokyo, and New York.

Resale projections are already climbing. StockX pre-market listings for the Detroit jacket hover around 600 pounds, nearly double retail. The cargo pants and the tool set are generating significant interest too.

Both brands have a track record of collaborations that outperform expectations. Palace with Ralph Lauren, Carhartt WIP with Sacai. But this pairing feels less like a marketing exercise and more like two friends finally getting around to something they should have done years ago.
